Students and Families collect pledges

Students Run, Walk, or Roll up to 35 laps around a track at school

*Roll is for those needing a wheelchair for mobility

What?

The LRES PTA has partnered with Boosterthon (a company who coordinates an online giving platform and fun run set-up) to raise funds with a pledge drive culminating in students completing laps around a track to earn those pledges. Family and friends can pledge a flat donation or pledge per lap. There will be a maximum of 35 laps. Students’ laps will be marked as they complete each lap, tallied at the end of the event, and entered into each student’s account. Every student participates in the fun run, and every student gets a complimentary event t-shirt, thanks to our sponsors.

Why?

The LRES PTA is organizing this large scale fundraiser to provide funding for the many school wide programs and projects we support throughout the year. These include 9 free family events, field trip support, assemblies, materials for teachers, school support projects, staff appreciation, and more. Our goal is to raise $45,000 to support this effort.

Are there incentives? Yes!

1. Boosterthon Prizes: As a part of the Boosterthon system, students can earn prizes individually for reaching various pledge levels.To view prize details, log in to your Boosterthon account.

2. Nightly Class Challenges: There are nightly challenges for each day of the campaign! These are based on new pledges each day (from 8am-8am). Details will be revealed nightly!

3. School Wide Reward: If we meet our $45,000 goal, there will be a school-wide incentive.

Will adult caregivers be able to participate?

The actual Run, Walk, and Roll is for students to complete. However there are multiple ways adults can support the event. Help is needed with pre-event shirt sorting and event day lap-marking. To help, click the volunteer link and sign up here. Adult caregivers are also welcome to watch and cheer at the event.

We are in need of donations to stock the three teachers' lounges with quick snacks and lunches for when our staff members are short on time or just need a pick-me-up! Items may be purchased off of our Amazon wishlist and will ship directly to the school, where PTA volunteers will help unbox and distribute them.
