Teacher Appreciation Week
May 3-7, 2021

​Now more than ever, the parents and students of LRES want to show our appreciation for everything our wonderful staff at Laurel Ridge is doing. So let's make sure we let our teachers know how thankful we are, COVID-19 style.

Recognizing that some families are virtual and some are in-person, we wanted to make it easy for everyone to participate. So the LRES PTA is encouraging families to show their appreciation by following the suggested schedule below:

Monday, May 3: The LRES PTA board will be serving a boxed lunch and a special treat to our amazing staff.

Tuesday, May 4: Make them laugh – Laughter makes us feel amazing so let’s make our teachers laugh. Send your teacher a joke or record a video to give them a laugh.

Wednesday, May 5: True colors – Wear your teacher’s favorite color and send them a picture of it.

Thursday, May 6: Give thanks – Create something special for your teacher. Write a note, make a video, take a picture, write an email, etc., to show your teacher how much they are appreciated. We have attached some printable forms (at the bottom of this page) that your student can create. 

Friday, May 7: Show your spirit – Wear LRES spirit wear or blue and gold to show your teachers how much you appreciate them!

Below are some more suggestions to recognize LRES staff and teachers if you prefer to do your own recognition of this week:

• Super specials – Create a video or take a picture of you doing something for your specials teacher. Share an experiment, building project, etc. for STEAM, play an instrument or sing a song for MUSIC/BAND, play a sport for GYM, or create a picture for ART.
